Commercial Manager | Major Infrastructure | Sydney

We're partnering with an established Australian civil infrastructure contractor seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead commercial strategy and performance across major infrastructure projects in Sydney.

Indigenous Business Growth (IBG) is a majority Indigenous owned recruitment business registered with Supply Nation, specialising in civil engineering, infrastructure, construction and major project recruitment. We partner closely with contractors, engineering consultancies and delivery organisations to place high quality technical professionals. Our approach is relationship led and commercially grounded, built on practical industry experience and a clear understanding of how complex projects are delivered.

Initially office-based in Sydney, the role will support major project tenders, commercial reviews and mobilisation activities before transitioning into a project-based leadership position in Western Sydney.

You'll oversee commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle, including contract administration, procurement, forecasting, cost control, claims, variations and commercial negotiations.

What we're looking for:

• Significant commercial management experience within major civil construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong contract administration, commercial governance and risk management capability.
• Experience managing project financial performance, forecasting, claims and variations.
• Demonstrated experience across tendering, procurement, project delivery and close-out.
• Proven leadership and commercial negotiation skills.
• Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Law, Commerce, Business or a related discipline.
